  1. A noun clause is usead as a subject or an object. In other words, a noun clause is used in the same way as a "noun phrase". (a phraseis a group of words that does not contein a subject and a verb)

    a)His history was interesing
"His history" is a noun phrase

    b)What he said was interesting
"what he said" is a noun clause, It is used as the subject of the sentence, (thenoun clause has its own subject (he) and verb (said)

  3. A clause is a group of words containing a subject and a verb.

An independent clause is a complete sentence. It contains the main subject and verb of a sentence.

A dependent clause (or subordinate clause) is not a complete sentence. It must be connected to an independent clause.

Therefore, a noun clause is used as a subject or an object.

  4. Noun clauses are that clauses that have a subject and a verb.
Noun clauses are used as subjects and objects, and perform the same functions in sentences that nouns do.
    for example
    as a subject:
What Billy did shocked his friends.
What Billy did is the noun clause.
    as an object:
Billy’s friends didn’t know that he couldn’t swim.
that he couldn’t swim is the noun clause.
